Pretty Regular Week

tirinianWork was kind of pitiful, but nothing's due for a while, so I guess that was ok. Gym was not good, but still improving slowly after the drought post-Italy.
Other stuff:
Tuesday: Auria! We set sail for the Far East. Sadly, our two most-interested-in-the-Far-East characters are both female, and the part we've landed in is pretty misogynistic. We'll see how that goes as we head Even Farther East.
Wednesday: Water By the Spoonful, at the Lyric. It was a pretty good show overall, although it's clearly Modern, with some modern-writing-twitches that I'm not really fond of. It's the middle of a trilogy (are sets of three plays properly called trilogies?), and I haven't seen the first, but it stands alone reasonably well. I'm not sure how much I like the character who's apparently the main character of the trilogy, though. Sometimes he's quite likeable, sometimes he's a lot of a jerk. I think that was somewhat deliberate, as he's struggling with several issues, and when they trigger, he gets very annoying, but still, I had trouble being sympathetic about his issues 'cause he kept being annoying. It is very much a play about issues (most of the main characters are addicts), and while many of them are sympathetic, few of them are likeable. The one really likeable character is the one without too many issues, which seemed both true-to-life and unfortunate-for-story-purposes, if the goal is to make you sympathetic to people's issues. Anyway, it was compelling and well acted, and lived 8.5 days of game before OD'ing. I would probably try to see the first or third parts if they show up in town.
Thursday: Gym then comics then ice cream with Killbot then VBL.
Friday: Don't think there was much of anything.
Saturday: Dragon! The Night of Gates, which Monkey declared the Best Party Ever, which you can tell means it was a disaster for everyone else. At least it was a disaster for *everyone* else, and the bad guys also mostly failed in their plans.
Sunday: Failed to go in to work to make up for being pitiful during the week, so mostly played video games and goofed around.
