Birthdays Week!

tirinianWork was actually much more productive this week, as the thing I have been blocking on got demoted to not-the-most-important anymore, and I did a bunch of other stuff I wasn't blocking on. Including three trips to court, which is unheard of recently. The junky thing will move back up the queue this week, though, as I really should do it before I go, so we'll see how productive I stay. Also got to the gym a few times, so over all, doing better. Other stuff:
Monday: I don't think there was anything?
Tuesday: Auria, where we solved the Loot of the Ages Puzzle, and didn't have to fight any wights at all, which was slightly disappointing. But I now have a good present for the prince. (His Royal Father's magic ring, that was lost to the wights.) Then Birthday #1, off to the Cyberneticist's to deliver birthday cupcakes and hang out for a bit.
Wednesday: Gym and comic shopping and VBL.
Thursday: Nothing Much, I think?
Friday: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, at the Somerville. I actually thought this was quite a good movie. It manages to take all the angst and grimness from the book and make a nicely bleak story out of it, where the book... didn't do it so well. Possibly part of that is that I knew what to expect here, and wasn't looking for a rollicking adventure yarn, but I think a lot of it is that the kids are better actors than Rowling is a writer, and part of it is that the movie is only 2+ hours of bleak, instead of hundreds of pages, which I can deal with better. Lives all the days until game-break, we'll see how the conclusion works out in six months or so. laura47's for the second birthday party, where I mostly chatted with doma, who I hadn't seen in ages, and read.
Saturday: Lunch with Germany, starting Xmas shopping, napping, and post-Dragon-dinner mob showing up at our place for pizza and a semi-birthday-party formjperson and ilhander. The theme of the night was "puppets".
Sunday: Birthday Party Number 4, attwe's, for the Muffin. Also discovered that Germany and my Uncle both went to the hospital today. :-( Germany was food poisoning, and is out and recovering and says he'll be fine, Uncle is less clear exactly what's wrong yet, but Cousin-the-Doctor seems to think it's not terribly serious, knock wood.
