Kind of like a second week of vacation...

tirinianMy boss' mother passed away last Sunday, so work was pretty much destroyed this week, between the funeral and the wake and my boss not being up to doing much. To make it worse, the office manager was out sick Wednesday-Friday, and the other boss was taking her daughter back to college Thursday and Friday. Hopefully by tomorrow, people will be back and I'll be able to get something going. The gym also failed miserably this week, as it does in weeks when I'm actually busy in the evenings.
In other news, though:
Monday: Conflux Run! Mostly dealing with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mjperson's personal plot of getting his girlfriend away from the Yak, with some puttering around the edges with the Ghenna plot.
Tuesday: Left work early and went to the wake. Then Auria! I was more lost than usual after I've missed a run, as we seem to have abandoned the prior plot and moved on to a new one. Ended on a cliffhanger as we attempt to implement the Terrible Plan with our new Heinous Ritual Item. Then Ice Cream with Germany and his lady.
Wednesday: Funeral in the morning. Only one in the office for the rest of the day, then a Comet run in the evening, where they poked at the Avan politics to try to figure out why the Twins want Pho Sien to go there.
Thursday: Lunch withbrilit & doctor's appointment for "annual" checkup, so still not in the office much, although the other associate was in. Evening was the only Gym time this week, plus comic shopping, plus VBL. Which had the bonus property of being Mysteriously Empty when I first showed up, but I eventually found people and hung out for a while.
Friday: Something close to a full day of work, except for bonus visit from my parents around lunchtime, but I'd already eaten lunch 'cause they hadn't said they were coming. Had dinner with them instead, at some fancy place in H^2 I hadn't been to before (Sandrini's, or something like that), then FEFN with special guestskuffle, then laura47 lured me over to her place for another party with promises of more skuffle. I mostly slept on the couch for that one, but had said that was what I was going to do if I went and she said that was fine, I should come anyway.
Saturday: Board games in the afternoon, first modern art with skuffle andkelkyag and two friends of skuffle's he dragged along, at which the newbies totally crushed the "experienced" players, and then Puerto Rico with skuffle and mjperson and harrock, where I declared before the game got set up that I was the Corn Lord, and proceeded to win with that strategy, which was remarkably satisfying. Then a couple of hours of watching Stargate at Lovell Street.
Sunday: Parents came over about 2, and we lazed about the house most of the afternoon before dinner at Redbones, then I read some of the Dresden Files RPG rules and dev'ed my Auria character.
