Work was deliberately kind of light, as I wasn't thinking about the Next Big Project, I was getting little stuff done. We'll see how much I have to pay for that over the next couple of weeks, but I don't think it will be too bad.

Monday: That was a long time ago. I don't remember anything special?
Tuesday: Auria! Classified little mini-run with me and [livejournal.com profile] fredrickegerman, as everyone else was unavailable.
Wednesday: Comet! More puttering with the elves, trying to figure out whether they want a King and how to prevent one if they don't. Eventually, they'll get into a fight.
Thursday: Not so long ago, but I don't *think* there was anything in the evening? Not 100% sure. Lunch with Kosh's guy, who was in town for a couple of days before they went to P-Town, which was fun. Oh, actually, I'm pretty sure evening was a headache and early to bed.
Friday: Tried getting a massage at my gym. I definitely liked her better than the guy who used to be there. I'm not sure if I like her as much as the guy I normally go to. She has a less even touch - sometimes so light you can barely feel her, sometimes heavy enough that it was actually kind of painful, where my regularly guy is much more reliably in the middle. But it was an interesting change of pace, at least, and the location is more convenient, although I'm not sure the times really are. Then FEFN, for the [livejournal.com profile] maverickseraph's birthday edition, which was fun, and actually had a cruft contingent. Maverickseraph
Saturday: Old Fogie BBQ at [livejournal.com profile] treptoplax and [livejournal.com profile] jaedian's. Dripping in kids, to emphasize the Old half of Old Fogie. Then went out to a bar with maverickseraph and Germany and [livejournal.com profile] theweirdones and some more people, and got carded, to make me feel better. :-)
Sunday: In total betrayal of Me-As-A-Kid, I slept late enough to not go to the boardgames plan, then went to the gym instead. I did then make it to the Event Horizon BBQ, and to the fireworks, at least, followed by some hanging about 5E with maverickseraph waiting for the crowds to clear from the T. By the time I got on the T at 12:20 or so, it was down to a standard rush hour of busy, instead of CRAZED HORDES! I think the fireworks weren't quite as good as last year, somehow - there was a set of new weird-UFO-like things that were pretty, but other than that, the biggest innovation seemed to be that a lot of things exploded even bigger than they had before, rather than in more interesting ways. Looked for either [livejournal.com profile] dcltdw's mob or [livejournal.com profile] bluedaisy's, but failed to find them, so chatted with [livejournal.com profile] justom and [livejournal.com profile] chanaleh some, and then just stood somewhere by myself.
Monday: Work for a while, to get ready for court tomorrow, and then to Kye's BBQ, which was full of Old Fogies but fewer kids, and then collapsed on the sofa and took a nap, so I failed to get to the gym before it closed. (I was totally there in time for a regular day, but apparently they closed early for the 5th.) Now some puttering in the evening, and then to bed in the nice cold airconditioned room.

The climax of the fireworks were synched to some anticlimactic music. Also they seemed short.

There were an impressive numbers of offspring at that BBQ.
