Apr. 1st, 2012

It was the first week after the trial, so work picked up a moderate amount. I'm on top of most of the small things, and there aren't really many big things, but some of the medium sized things are iffy. Also down a day at the gym this week, so need to make that up next week.

Monday: Conflux! Talking with our new Quentin Overlords was more exciting and less terrifying than I expected. We are not quite as far through some of the Big Plots as I had thought, apparently, but we're getting big enough that if we can actually figure them out, we can likely stymie them.
Tuesday: Auria! Mostly poking around the next Evil City on the list of things to conquer, and seeing what we can find out. They have a large number of Evil Priests, and a better defended Prince, than the last one, and a Naval Force. There's not nearly as much of a single target to hit to take it quickly, it looks like. But we'll see what we come up with during Planning this week.
Wednesday: B5 meeting. Our todo list is getting pretty short, and I have the general scope of the game back in my head. I'm still short on a bunch of the details, and don't know what I need to do to get those details back. But I probably have enough to run it now, and will keep working on details over the next two week.
Thursday: CPB failed me again (not quite stood me up this time, but failed me), so I went to ianyh's Mary's mob instead, and then did a bit more B5 stuff and swung by 5E.
Friday: Les Mis, at the Opera House, with [livejournal.com profile] laura47's mob. It's a new staging, and I liked several of the minor things they did (in particular, Fontine and Marius are both cast noticeably younger, and in her case feistier, and I thought it worked for both of them). The removal of the rotating stage didn't actually make much of an impression on me, and the backdrop pictures (apparently based on/inspired by Hugo's artwork) didn't really do much for me except in the sewer scenes, where they were quite cool. ValJean/Javert were pretty standard, and I've seen the show a bunch, but it does still move me. Call it 9.5 days of game.
Saturday: Dragon run, with a party to try and fix the things wrong about the military commander who isn't well set up to run the Northeast Quadrant yet. Possibly snuck in fixing a couple of other plots, too, and didn't lose too much ground to Ezokin. Then Kye's birthday party at Fire & Ice - I'm still not *fond* of the place, but it was less irritating than the last couple of times I'd been there, and I was happier with the food, so that was good.
Sunday: B5 Casting meeting (and some other stuff for B5) took most of the day, then puttered around the house for a few hours, and shortly to bed.
