I "worked" Friday and Sunday of the long weekend, although I didn't actually get much done for the amount of time I was in the office. I did earn good-doobie points today, as I was there when my boss came in, and I got to ask him a couple of the questions I needed to ask, especially whether I'm going to be Totally Hosed in January or not. (He didn't actually answer that one, but said he'd talked to my other boss and figure it out.)

In other news:

Monday: Star Trek. Why is everyone always so excited to go to the Mirror-verse? The Mirror-verse is the Place-That-Sucks, by definition. But it's a required meme, so there you go. We didn't quite finish, so we're doing a "to be concluded" extra run tomorrow.

Tuesday: Two Hours in London, a one-night Assassins' game guest-starring [livejournal.com profile] ironrat. This was the one I was going to go down to DC to play a couple months back, but the weather kept me here. It was fun, with lots of color, although I mostly ignored my "flirt with an undergraduate" plot and concentrated on the financial bits. I felt stupid when I finally figured out what ironrat's "subtle" hints actually meant, though. ("Yes, yes, I made my money that way, and you want my money, why do you keep going on about... OH!")

Wednesday: Don't think there was anything in the evening, although I got home latish, so maybe I'm forgetting something. Or maybe I just worked late, since I took a long lunch with ironrat and [livejournal.com profile] cshiley in Cambridge. Lunch was good.

Thanksgiving: Lounging about the house, taking the day off and not feeling guilty about it. Lots of food (though no Turkey), all yummy. Many people came over to partake of it, and I didn't make any. Woo!

Friday: Work. Came home at 9-ish and played a game with [livejournal.com profile] algorithmancy, [livejournal.com profile] harrock, and [livejournal.com profile] ilhander in honor of algorithmancy being in town.

Saturday: Comet! A little short for the runs this chapter, and they didn't actually capture a surge, but they made good progress on how to capture three of the four they haven't got yet, and kept one from running wild in Westpoint. Then to Cathedral for [livejournal.com profile] laura47's party, which was smaller and less drunken than I expected, but I liked that.

Sunday: Work, although I spent enough time puttering around and sleeping in that I didn't get there as early as I'd hoped, and didn't do as much as I should have for the amount of time I was there.

The Mirrorverse is only the Place-That-Sucks if your own universe doesn't suck. I'd be amused to see a campaign where the setting is sufficiently dystopian that the Mirrorverse is the sweetness-and-light place.

That's why you ran Feng Shui, and I ran Champions. :-)

If you guys had ever gone to the Mirrorverse in Feng Shui, you would have discovered what suckage really looks like. The Unification would have looked like Utopia in comparison. :-)
