Posting Early is Like Yak Shaving, Right?

Well, the week at work was much less hosed than I expected, as my boss finally noticed the thing that was due Wednesday on Monday, and said "That's not going to be done in time. Ask for another six weeks." So the panic was greatly reduced. That said, I did do some work today, and should do more work in a bit, because I'm getting stuff ready for his trial that starts on Tuesday. But I had time to play games in between, and go do stuff Friday night/yesterday, instead of just working flat out.
Monday: I don't think there was anything. I didn't work late like I'd been planning, but I think I just came home and puttered.
Tuesday: Sweeney Todd, at the Colonial. The new production, with only ten cast members playing the ten named characters and doubling as the chorus, and playing the instruments on stage as their own orchestra. Definitely an interesting approach, and pulled out some of the lyrics that can get buried by a large chorus, and made the music central to the story in an interesting way, as the instruments became props, and when someone was playing rather than acting/singing was relevant and made me listen more for their instruments. A couple of other interesting takes on characters, as the Beadle was more suave and more dangerous than normal (he was seriously threatening/interrogating in "N Bells Today", in a way he's normally just being a goof, for instance), and it was less clear to me whether Lovett and Todd were actually having a relationship. Lives 9 days of game before getting made into meat pies.
Wednesday: A bit of Tomes of Terror Two, by the Radio Players - went to the first act with
mjperson, but decided that it wasn't really our thing and left at intermission. It seemed like they were doing what they were doing (a live performance of a '40's radio program) perfectly well, and as a period piece to listen to on the radio while I did something else, I might have found it amusing, but as a thing to be the sole focus of my attention, it didn't work for me.
Thursday: Ryuna! We finished off the trolls, with some effort, then discovered that there's a Fiendish Tarrasque coming to kill us (meriting much mockery about the fact that I didn't know what a Tarrasque was), so we sailed off to destroy the thing that it's going to invade our world through, stopping in the Adventurer's Guild town to pick up a couple of minor missions on the way.
Friday: Down to the Cape for a Cape Party. Was fun, if quieter than some of them have been. Played War On Terror, the board game, which was amusing this time, but I suspect winds up having the Supremacy "The Nukes are flying, everyone's dead!" problem a lot of the time.
Saturday: Afternoon on the Cape, watching the tail end of the hurricane sweep through, then back to Boston in time for
brilit's birthday party, which had lots of people I rarely see at it, which was neat.
Sunday: Some work this morning (from home, for once), then Conflux all afternoon, and now back to work, hopefully.
