Working Update

I can't concentrate on anything work-related between the jackhammers outside my window and the ringing telephone that I'm the only one here to answer, so let's do Sunday's update that I failed to do, instead.
Last Monday: I dunno. Not startrek. Maybe something else, but if so, I forget what.
Tuesday: Bourne Supremacy at Davis, with
ilhander and
brilit. Pretty good movie. It assumes more memory of the previous ones that I really had, so I was a little lost at the beginning, but then it settles down and is mostly clear. A couple of turns that surprised me, a quite nice "I'm the expert, do what I say" scene, a worthy opponent (and some less worthy ones), and a well done fight scene or two. I do think that it drew out a couple of the chase scenes too long, as it started triggering my "it's *hard* to follow people that well" instincts - a single tail is pretty easy to lose if you know it's there, really. Still, lives 9 days of game before being shot off the parking garage.
Wednesday: Nothing much, I don't think. Dentist appointment, so I left work early, and then puttered around in Harvard Square and got a haircut.
Thursday: Ryuna started up again! Yay! Wrapping up loose ends from last Spring's season finale, then starting a new mission that doesn't sound at all like what
quillion said this arc would be about, but we'll see. Also cupcakes, which were decent, if overblown.
Friday: Down to DC. Dinner at Matuba with Mom and Sis, then downtown to see Mr. and Mrs. Astronomer for a while, and watch them reorganizing their living room, and then to the English Professor and the Doctor's.
Saturday: Lunch with the English Professor, a friend of his, and
ironrat. Up early to bring cupcakes to lunch. Then to Eastern Promises, a decent mobster flick, if slightly bloodier than I really needed. Lives 8.5 days of game before getting it's throat cut and bleeding out all over the place. Split up to do some shopping in Dupont Circle, then dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Astronomer.
Sunday: Lunch with ironrat and the Archangel (who I'm sure had an lj account, but I can't remember it... anyone?), then we went down to the Mall and wandered around in the National Gallery for a while while my family had lunch, then I swapped off to join my family to wander other museums. Did the history exhibit that's in Air and Space while History is closed, and the Hirschorn. Modern Art really doesn't do much for me, and I think it particularly suffered in comparison with having just been at the National Gallery. The history exhibit was pretty neat, though - it was just "cool stuff the Smithsonian has" rather than any particular theme, so there was Lincoln's hat from the night he was shot, a pair of ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz, part of Eniac, and the first gold nugget that sparked the California Gold Rush, among other bits and pieces. Then we went back to where I grew up, and ordered pizza from the neighborhood pizza place, and I was shocked to learn they don't deliver anymore. Bah! Then flew back to Boston.
This Monday: Went over to brilit's and hung about for a while, watching tv and eating pizza. Quiet and fun.

"...getting it's throat cut and bleeding..."
ARRRRGGGHHHH!!! Quit it! It's mistakes like that which bleed into my subconscious and make me do stupid, dumb things like that too! Don't! Don't!
