Stanford Football

Went to see Stanford play UCLA this afternoon, with
bakedweasels, dad, and my aunt and uncle. It was actually pretty fun, although Stanford was Just Outclassed. The weather was good (too good, really - our seats were out in the bright sunlight, so I kept going down to the concessions stand and watching from the shade there), the stadium is nice (a little smaller than Harvard's, I think, or at least, we were closer to the field than I remember being the once or twice I was in Harvard's), and the game wasn't a total blowout until late. Bakedweasels said that college football is a better game to watch than pro, because you're more likely to see crazy plays, and I think I agree with him, if for a slightly different reason. There were more plays that were Just Bad, but it meant that the good plays stand out more. I was disappointed that the guy cheerleaders were in sweatpants and loose t-shirts, where the girls were in tiny skirts and small tops, but there was a fair amount of topless eye candy in the stands, so I suppose it balances out.
Dad's pretty sunburned tonight, but I think I managed to avoid anything too terrible.
