Absent Week

mjperson, brilit, ironrat, 'nJ, and Germany. You'd think this would make me more productive at work, but mostly it meant that time I'd spend chatting I spent doing sudoku instead. Not that I was terribly-unproductive, but I wasn't ultra-productive, either. The rest of my time was kind of slow, though.
Monday: Star Trek. Terrible-shape-changing-monster wreaking havoc on poor farming town. We continue to run into "what do you mean, the Federation doesn't have money? How the heck does anything work, then?" issues.
Tuesday: Went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was fairly well done, but I spent most of it wondering how someone who hadn't read the book could possibly keep track of what was going on, as it seemed to be skipping over everything really fast. But I've felt that way about most of them, and people who haven't read the books tell me the others are perfectly fine, so this one probably is too. Lives 8.5 days of Game before falling into the Stupid Adventurer Trap sitting in the middle of the big empty room.
Wednesday: Not much. Wandered over to Twinknj for an hour or so to watch TV.
Thursday: Nothing, I don't think.
Friday-Saturday: Went down to the Cape for alaura47 Party. It was much emptier than previous ones I've been to, which was actually nice Friday night, but a bit slow on Saturday. It was filling up some when I left Saturday evening, but I wanted to be back in Boston for Sunday.
Sunday: Went to work, did a couple of life-maintenance things around the house. Went to Hairspray tonight with a mini-mob, quite liked it. It's totally campy, but good-hearted about it, and the music's fun. I should try to watch the original movie sometime. Lives 9.5 days of game, but loses the Big Plot to the NPC who wins if the PCs don't do the plot well enough.
