Three in a Row!
Jul. 22nd, 2018 10:10 pmWork is slow, but I have minimal deadlines, so I'm meeting those, but not getting much else done. Diet is a disaster, gym is only barely hanging on. CPAP is working fairly well for getting more sleep, but that turns out to be better, but not a panacea. Spending too much time thinking about WW plots I could write if I go staff, when I don't know if I really want to, and don't have enough time to do it right, anyway.
Other stuff:
Monday: Power grid with Germanychen, Killbot, and Dyrus. I eked out a win by 2 dollars over Germanychen in stage three, after he foiled my plan to win in stage two.
Tuesday: Auria! A coup, by firstfrost, as we played a lowlevel trickster party based around her minions, and found a left over dark god artifact.
Wednesday: Aladdin, part of the Broadway in Boston season tickets. I liked it a lot more than I anticipated, actually. It was really fun, and they did a nice job of telling the story in a good-for-the-stage way, instead of trying to recreate the movie beat-by-beat. Call it 9 days of game before being trapped in a teeny-weeny living space.
Thursday: Hanging out at brilit's. Played a game of sentinels for the first time in ages, trounced the villain fairly handily, then watched Valerian, City of a 1000 planets, which was... very Bande Dessinee, which I suppose was the point. It was... ok. Give it seven days of game before dying in the red zone.
Friday: Comics and dinner in Harvard Square, nothing else, I don't think.
Saturday: Too much Civ 6, then a brief foray at work to get the thing that had to be done by tomorrow morning done, then out to JP for a threshold party. Did not really know anyone very well, but managed to find enough LARP-y subjects we were interested in in common to make it through ~3 hours reasonably happily.
Sunday: More Civ 6, then chicken and the triumphant return of mjperson.
