Into March
Mar. 4th, 2018 11:05 pmUgh. It's been a month since I updated.
First Sunday I missed was the day I decided to quit Witchwood, and I was busy sulking.
Second Sunday I missed I was in DC and it was a pain to get a computer.
Third Sunday I missed was the end of Intercon and I was wiped out.
This was going to be the first weekend of the guild ten-day, so i would have also been hosed, but it punted due to insufficient apps. Which is... sad for the guild, but gave me a gloriously free weekend this weekend, so that was nice.
Not going to try to do a day-by-day thing. Work is going ok. Diet is going ok. Gym is going badly. Auria is in puttery-pre-war mode. Dragon didn't happen for me. Torino... had maybe one run where we decided to go fight the Operative's boss? Pandemic Legacy 2 is about as amazing as Season 1 was. We're through the end of May, I think? Warhammer is getting more deeply into Plot stuff, which I like, although we're still kinda stumbling around saying "well, we have no plans, so we'll go do the dangerous thing and see what happens." That's all my regular stuff.
Went to my last WW feast, mostly just said good-bye to people. Went to Intercon, played what I described as "four fun characters in four ok games." Two Boffers, two "secrets and powers"-y, although one of those wasn't very much so. Two "confused people wander around getting unconfused," one SuperHeroes Stop Supervillians, and one classic-guild-style diplomatic conference-y thing. Plus helped out with Cash Castle for a bit and went to Omoira's birthday party.
Saw Waitress (the Musical). It was reasonable, moderately standard Broadway-ish, with a non-standard love plot and a non-Broadway musical style. Strangely popular, super sold out. Call it 7.5 days of game before eating a poisoned pie. Saw Black Panther - Quite liked it, and think it's in the top quarter of modern Marvel Movies, but not as blown away by it as some people. Did really like the villain, and the arguments around his motivations. Call it 9 days of game before dying in a challenge combat. Feel like I saw something else, but can't think what...
Gave a few massages - halftime and the Sophisticate and fireworksboi.
Spent a weekend in DC, mostly saw family, plus some time with ironrat and his guy, and with the English Prof. and the Doctor. Missed CBF and the Instrumentologist, and didn't even try for anyone else. I'm seriously considering trying to do a trip and not telling my sister I'm there, to just catch up with friends. :-) But not for a while.
