Two Weeks Together
Apr. 12th, 2015 09:37 pmOops, I apparently flaked entirely last week. Which is not totally unreasonable, since I was actually sick, I think. I stayed home Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning before dragging myself in, and warned some gms that I wasn't going to be doing much in those runs (but didn't actually skip them), and failed badly at gym (although I made some of that up this week). Work is more-or-less caught up from last week's failures. Other stuff:
Mondays: Jelom's runs (Conflux and Torino). In Conflux, we puttered around in Ghenna and met a woman who sells rare materials and could tell us something of the history of people-trying-to-go-to-Alpha, and in Torino we cleaned up after the Wizard fight, and caught another one, and warned off a god they were targeting.
Tuesdays: Auria! We introduced a new character, and did some rituals, and did a ritual on Jiao to reveal he's 1/4 dragon.
Wednesdays: Week 1: City of Angels at the Lyric with special guest star Killbot! I find City of Angels an amusing show, but I'm not sure it's really a very *good* one. Still, it's got lots of nice meta playing-with-tropes that I enjoy, and some songs I think are clever. This was a pretty solid production. I did think it was odd that the actress playing Gabby/Bobby was much better as Gabby than as Bobby, but the general consensus seemed to be that Gabby's just a better part. Eight days of game before being shot by a Femme Fatale. Week 2: grabbed half an hour with
ironrat, nothing else special.
Thursdays: Week 1: Nothing I recall? That might have been the night the Sophisticate bailed on a massage. Week 2: Dinner with
laura47 and friends, then What We Do In Shadows at the Kendall, a mockumentary about vampires in New Zealand. I thought it was moderately amusing, but don't have much more to say. Call it 7.5 days of game before getting eaten by Werewolves.
Last Weekend: London Underground! Guild 3-day about a steampunk turn of the century London with weirdshit. It was fun and much solider than I expected given the level of experience of the gms, and I got to work with the Police Chief, but I expect it will fade entirely from memory in a couple of years. I mostly spent it doing shadowruns/lockpicking to try and find MI666 headquarters.
Also Last Weekend: Easter Egg Hunt, which went well, some work. I think something else that I forget, anyone?
This Weekend: Nothing much Friday, I think? Saturday was work and then hanging at Germany's with ironrat and Killbot. Today was the guild meeting (attendance by undergrads is pathetically weak, and needs to be fixed), followed by a GM meeting for the ten-day I seem to be writing, followed by work.
