My Sunday Updates Have Fallen Behind...
Feb. 3rd, 2015 11:31 pmAs has most everything else. I could blame the snow, but it's really not the snow's fault.
Work is... moderately productive, but still behind. But I'm about done with the big thing that I've been working on for a while, and will get it to the court tomorrow, and that will be good. Then I can figure out which big thing to work on next, but hopefully not have to work on whatever it is this weekend. One of the other associates was let go/left (the details are unclear to me, but it was less "fired" than some, but clearly not a totally voluntary departure) at the start of last week, so that disrupted things a lot, and always makes me unhappy/uncomfortable.
Gym was behind last week, and I failed to make it up so far this week, although I did shovel a bunch yesterday. I'm thinking the plan is actually to do standard-gym this week, and try and catch up next week. We'll see if that works.
Memphis finished. I survived, with a position on the Magic-Security-Council, and three of the four political things I wanted to do done. (I abandoned the two "legalize discrimination" ones before game started, on the "that trick never works" theory.) I amused myself with a made-up mini-plot the first weekend, and pushed it hard enough that half of game stormed up to me in a mob Saturday night trying to figure out if I was a bad guy in need of fixing, so that was amusing. I wasn't exactly a bad guy, just a Neutral Greedy politician, and didn't have any major plots. Which fit well with the "give me a low-time commitment part that people will want to talk to when I'm around" app I sent in, but was also kind of symptomatic of an underplotted game. Ninjamuppet said they were originally planning it for term rather than IAP, and I think it would have worked better there. Anyway, I lived 10 days of game, but we'll call the game 7 days.
Plus there was snow. And Housemates abandoned me Friday to go on a cruise for the week.
Other stuff (unmentioned days were game):
Thursday: The Sophisticate came over for a massage.

laura47 and her husband at Mr. Crepe when I went out for dinner and had a nice hour or so chatting with them.
Tuesday: Killbot came over and hung out for a while.
