It's still Sunday in the States...

So that means this isn't late! I have done no work this week, although I'm supposed to be doing a little now, and no exercise except for an hour of hiking through creepy trees. But it's been a nice vacation anyway. (Although "Summer" is a little bit of an exaggeration. Think "June in Maine" for approximate weather conditions.)

Tuesday: Went into town for lunch with an old friend of dad's and his son (the one who stopped by Ibbetson once, years ago, if firstfrost and/or twe remember him). Then out to visit the house I lived in in Melbourne, then dinner with cousin's family and off to the airport to go to Hobart, and crashing.
Wednesday: Dragged down to Bruny Island with family. Did aforementioned hike through creepy trees, saw an Echidna trying to eat ants, walked along bay Captain Cook found. Did not hike through rainforest after brother and mother both got leeches on their ankles in the first ten minutes of hiking. Abandoned brother and his family on Bruny and went home.
Thursday: Mostly in downtown Hobart finishing Xmas shopping for people here. Haven't really started Xmas shopping for people in Boston, don't know how much of that I'll actually do this year. :-/
Friday: Xmas-eve, visited with the cousins here and their families, exchanging presents. Taught bakedweasels' kids to play Oh Hell in the evening. Niece likes it, nephew is frustrated by it.
Saturday: Xmas! Spent the whole day at Cremorne, presents in the morning then hanging about doing not much of anything.
Sunday: Boxing Day! Went down to Salamanca Market for the open-air artsy-craftsy thing they do every Sunday, but didn't really buy anything. Then hanging about the house some more, and napping.
Monday: One of dad's old teachers came out to visit us at Cremorne in the morning, with his family. Visiting my aunt and uncle to borrow their computer this afternoon, and try to get some work done. Evening will probably be back to Cremorne and hanging about.
