DC and Stuff
Aug. 9th, 2010 01:01 amWork was better this week. Not really busy/productive yet, but a normal slow week, instead of the disaster of the week before. And I got some assignments on Thursday to get done this week, so that should be good.
Other stuff:
Monday: Was there anything? I don't remember anything. Maybe the gym.
Tuesday: Auria! We have figured out what the bad guys are up to, we think, and have the beginnings of a plan to thwart them. We'll see how that goes this week. Failed to get ice cream after, as Germany flaked.
Wednesday: New Dresden Files game, with a bunch of youngn's who mostly don't have nicknames. Some villain is attempting to steal the power from the leyline created by Paul Revere's Ride to do Bad Stuff, but we don't know exactly what, yet. We picked a fight with the Red Court vamps at Harvard trying to figure it out, but I don't think they actually knew.
Thursday: Packing for DC. I don't think I did anything else.
Friday: DC! By the Instrumentologist's to drop off a bag, then dinner in Bethesda with lots of people (English Professor & Doctor, Mom, Dad, Sister,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ironrat, Germany, CPB and his boy). Dropped off family and the Doctor, and went out dancing, and then went out drinking, then hung out at ironrat's for a bit before going back to Takoma.
Saturday: Lunch in Takoma, then Despicable Me with ironrat, some friends of his, English Prof. and Doctor. Despicable Me was predictable and cliche, but reasonably fun while watching. Call it 7.5 days of game before being blown up by Mad Science Villains. Then dinner in Takoma with ironrat and mom and sister and hosts, then drinking with ironrat and Germany and ironrat's roommates.
Sunday: Some hanging out in Takoma, then lunch with ironrat and his roommates, then second lunch with Germany and his lady and ironrat, then hanging out at ironrat's again, then flying home.
DC overall: Lots of ironrat, which was nice 'cause I'd missed him last time. No CBF, which was sad, but it was his wedding anniversary and he was busy. Caught lots of taxi's, which helped with the "people are spread out all over the city" thing I complained about last time. Next time, will think about renting a car, although I'm not sure how easy parking is, and a rental is probably more expensive than the taxis were, by a little.
