Better

Still have a small cough, but mostly gone. Need to start going to the gym again. Need to catch up at work, but my boss seems to not be paying any attention at all to the thing I'm miles behind on, so I'm finding it hard to motivate.

Other stuff:

Monday: Nothing, I think?
Tuesday: BSG board game at [livejournal.com profile] mjperson and [livejournal.com profile] ilhander's place, with [livejournal.com profile] quillion, [livejournal.com profile] firstfrost, and [livejournal.com profile] harrock. The Humans won pretty easily. Also tested out mjperson's new grill, with much yummy meat. On the way over, stalked, uhm, Hathor's Priestess and Nomti, and got a great startle reaction out of her when she realized who I was. On the way back, firstfrost and harrock rescued a snake from trying to cross the road and threw it back into the garden it had probably escaped from.
Wednesday: Grey Gardens, at the Lyric. It was reasonably professionally put on, with people I normally enjoy performing (although I wish Will McGarrahan would occasionally get less stereotyped roles - he does them well, but he can probably do other stuff too), but when we left, someone ([livejournal.com profile] shumashi?) asked "So did anyone actually like that show?" and the answer was no all around. It's just a weirdly put together show about irritating and unlikeable people, and ick. No rating, because I don't think it's fair to downgrade the performance because I don't like the show.
Thursday: Star Trek! Went with firstfrost, and quite enjoyed it. I am not in the "wow, this was the bestest thing ever" group, but it was a lot of fun. It was more of an out and out retcon than I expected, which oddly left me comparing it to the original more than I might have if it had stuck to the original storyline, but it was fun and plausibly in character, in a "This is Star Trek 2.0" kind of way. There are some pretty big holes in the plot in places, but I feel like I can handwave my way past most of them. Call it 9.5 days of game before getting sucked into a black hole.
Friday: Dinner with GermanyChen, because [livejournal.com profile] skuffle failed to plan his trip to the Galleria early enough. :-)
Saturday: Dragon Run! [livejournal.com profile] desireearmfeldt's character got her big reveal, we got a drug war between to Tongs, and there was a spy from the Imperial Government that we'll probably have to deal with again in the future. Also weirdly spatial for a tabletop, as we assigned different parts of the room to different plots, and walked over there to indicate which characters were in which plot at any given time. Then Uno's, which was vastly overly apologetic for the amount of slow they actually were, and gave us all five dollar off coupons, and gave me two!
Sunday: Conflux! Still in Gehenna, trying to learn wild magic. The wild mage we were sent to banished us to nowhere's-ville, but we found a wild magic college that at least told us the outlines of how it works...
