Stuff and Nonsense
Mar. 8th, 2009 11:43 pmAnd not enough work. Sigh. I got all the small things done this week, but the big thing did not get enough attention, because it's a new big thing with no official deadline, and I suck at working on those. I will try to stay late tomorrow to get some done.

mjperson and ilhander came over for a bit, and we leveled my Auria character. There seems to be much more "dev the things you're going to want at 20th level" going on in Rolemaster than there is in anything else I play, which is kinda frustrating, as it means I feel like I'm wasting a lot of points on skills I'm not going to use for ages.
Tuesday: Auria! We left town and headed off to our first dungeon. We made it past the first puzzle, and have not found much in the way of the Deadly Traps Of Doom everyone else is convinced the guy who built the dungeon scatters liberally. But we haven't started going past the sneaky tapestries yet.
Wednesday: I read a book! I haven't done that in ages, but I made the mistake of starting The Blue Sword on Tuesday, got about twenty pages in, and read the rest of it (~240 pages) Wednesday night. I'll try and do a review of a bunch of books sometime soon.skuffle, you're in charge of reminding me. :-)
Thursday: Dinner withbrilit, then hanging out with him at my place, then over to hariyos's for for a while. Fortunately, quillion had to work late, so I didn't have to deal with having accidentally double-booked the evening.
Friday: Lunch with Germany, as he had a job interview about a block from my office. Evening was playing Descent, attwe's house. I had a bit more fun than the first time I played, I think, but I still think it take a little too long for what it is. I'd be interested in trying being the Overlord sometime, though.
Saturday: Punted on various plans to go to work. Failed to get enough done. Sigh.
Sunday: Went tobrilit's to play networked-Titan. It was faster than on a board, but not amazingly faster. Still too long to do regularly, but amusing to try once. Took long enough that I failed to go to work afterward, as had been the original plan, though.
