I'm slipping...
Oct. 18th, 2006 12:14 amEven later...
Work's been up and down. I was starting to get sick last week, and the end of the week I was totally useless. On the other hand, my bosses seemed happy enough with where I said I was on everything at our status meeting today, so I guess that's ok.
Last Tuesday: Tarkanan! We killed a dragon, and drove another one off, and it only cost me 2-3K of gold in expendibles, and all of all the caster's spells. And I don't even want to think about how much dragon's blood Vanix went through.
Wednesday and Thursday: Uhm. One of these was a Centauri meeting. Which was small and not amazingly productive, but oh well. If the other was anything, I forget what.
Friday: Comet Run of Doom! Quite probably the latest a comet run has ever gone, in the five or six years I've been running. And with only two characters for most of it! But I think they had fun.
justom, you going to write me a log?
Saturday: More doom. Talarin started at 2, which for those counting, was 10 hours after the Comet run ended. And I got up in the morning to run some errands. That lasted until 7ish, from which I hurried to The Margaret Ghost. It was an interesting play, although I was kind of disappointed that we got resolution of the Emerson relationship, rather than the Hawthorne relationship. I defintely saw Emerson as Margaret's enabler, where Hawthorne was trying to point out useful things to her (despite being deluded in his own ways). It would have been nice to see the two of them resolve their delusions, rather than just have her realize some of the problems in her relationship with Emerson. But I suppose there's only so much bending of how things really went the writer was willing to do. Lives 8.5 days of game before getting shot in the revolution. Then to the Cathedral party, which was fun, but I was too tired to really stay long.
Sunday: Collapsed. Had been meaning to go to work, but slept late, read the paper, read a bit of my book, took a long nap, got up and puttered a bit, and went back to bed.
Monday: Worked late, doing some of the catching up I needed to do.
Tuesday: Another Centauri meeting. More productive than last week, as there were more of us there. Need to do some homework before the next meeting, though. Oh, and had lunch with Germany, which was good. I should drag people down for lunch more often. And made it to the gym for the first time in like two weeks, which was also good. We'll see if I can start doing that again more.
