Work went a little crazy this week, as I was there late Monday and Friday. I went in this afternoon, too, but my bosses hadn't gotten me any feedback on the thing I sent them Friday night, so I mostly didn't do anything other than catch up on some paperwork. Other stuff:

Tuesday: Went to V for Vendetta, with various and sundry doom folks. The other associate from my office turned out to be there, too, which was funny. I quite liked it, and think it was a fine movie, and a decent telling of the comic book. I hear Moore isn't a fan of the movie, and there were changes I can see him disliking (his story is somewhat less black-and-white than this one), but I enjoyed it a lot. Lives 9 days of game before being blown up in a giant explosion. Afterwards, went to Durgan Park, which I hadn't been to in ages, with a smaller subset of the doom mob, including ninjamuppet, [livejournal.com profile] ironrat, Li Kua^H^H^H^H^H^H Germany, and [livejournal.com profile] rusalka (I think I've got that last username mapped to the right person in the real world).

Wednesday: Went over to twink'nj, also for the first time in a long time, and watched the first two episodes of Dr. Who. Then forgot to set the Replay to record it, so I'll have to go over again this week to see the next one. Not the Best Thing Ever, but decent, and since I seem to have dropped Desperate Housewives, it could be my one-live-tv-show instead. Then my housemates came over and watched Contact, but I mostly read comic books during that part.

Thursday: Came home and crashed. Fell asleep on the sofa about nine, and didn't really wake up again until morning. Think I may have actually been a little sick, not just tired, but I'm hoping I'm over it now.

Saturday: Oath run - mostly two mechanics to wrap up some stuff [livejournal.com profile] justom has been doing, but they were fun to play with. Then met [livejournal.com profile] ironrat for Lear, at the Shakespeare Ensemble, featuring [livejournal.com profile] justom, [livejournal.com profile] aerynne and [livejournal.com profile] maverickseraph. Also ran into a friend of Kosh's before hand at Anna's, and into one of the Dumb Guys on the way home on the T, which was funny. It was a fine performance of a show I don't like, so I'm not actually going to review it or give it a rating, and besides, it's closed. Also watched the first episode of season 3 of Six Feet Under, which I liked, as always.

Sunday: Killed most of the day puttering around, then went to Spamalot tonight. As with most of the current broadway shows I have seen, I thought it was a good spectacle, but not actually an interesting show. That is, it was big and funny, but the songs were weak and the plot/story was non-existent. I suppose, given the source material, that's not too surprising. :-) They did vary from the movie a moderate amount (mostly in the second act) which surprised me, but seemed to work reasonably well. Lives 8 days of game before being beheaded by a vicious rabbit. And now, another Six Feet Under episode, and then bed, I think.
