So, I was going to write a long entry about the blow-by-blow of the trial, but I decided A) I'm too lazy, and B) it treaded a little close to violating client confidentiality, even as a friends-only post. So the short version is, we lost. The medium version is they found one of the three defendant's liable and awarded a small amount of money that didn't even cover legal fees. (Well, ok, "small" is relative here, since it'd nearly pay for a year's tuition at MIT, but on the scale we were asking for, it was small.) So I've been in a bad mood for the last couple of days (verdict came back Tuesday), and getting nothing done at work.

On the plus side, Canada's going to let queers marry! Yay! And any day now the SJC and SCOTUS should both be issuing big gay rights opinions, both of which I'm hopeful will be good for us, although I'm waiting tensely. And really, there hasn't been so much work that needed doing, so getting nothing done isn't that bad.

Tomorrow, John comes to visit, which is way cool, although I should think about getting the air conditioning working before then, and cleaning the apartment. Means no Doomcom games tomorrow night, but I might drag him to Animatrix on Saturday. Haven't quite decided that one yet, we'll see what he wants to do.

I know there was more stuff I wanted to say before, but I seem to have forgotten. So this will have to do for now.
