This week was mostly a lost cause, at work and otherwise, as I woke up Monday morning feeling bad, was worse on Tuesday, and pretty bad Wednesday and Thursday. It appears to have been some terrible stomach bug, which is slowly getting better. I'm back to being pretty much fully functional again, just having a little upset stomach, as opposed to being useless for much of the week. I did make it in to work every day, but was late Wednesday and Thursday, and not real useful the other days. Fortunately, there wasn't *so* much to do, and this week should give me some catch up time on the things that didn't get done.
Otherwise:
Monday night: Ran Star Trek. Went ok, and was only a couple of hours, so I got to bed early.
Tuesday: Came home and collapsed. Slept from like 6:30 to nine, got up for an hour, and crashed again, sleeping until 10:30 or so Wednesday morning.
Wednesday: Also came home and collapsed. I was up for a little longer in between my post-work nap and going-to-bed, but still more than twelve hours of sleep, I think.
Thursday: Came home and didn't actually collapse, although I was asleep relatively early, like 11 or something. Mostly read, I think.
Friday: Managed to go to Indian Ink, a Tom Stoppard play at the BCA. It was quite reminiscent of Arcadia, to me, with the split-time/present tries to reconstruct the past structure. The ideas being played with were different (the effects of empire and the power of art, rather than math), but the style was highly evocative. Decent, but not as good as Arcadia, I think. Lives 8 days of game before dying of Consumption. Oh, also saw 123 for lunch, although Kosh didn't make it. But I was sort of out of it still, so it wasn't as good a lunch as it might have been.
Saturday: Comet Run. Went fairly well. Then
rifmeister's birthday party, which was fun, although I spent most of the time with the asocializing people on the top floor, instead of the social people down below.
Sunday: Stayed at home and read, except for going to Minado for dinner. Had been at least thinking about going to work to try to catch up on the stuff I didn't get done this week, but decided there was nothing so pressing as to require that, and I wanted a down-time day pretty badly.
